Harry Kane has not shown up to Tottenham’s pre-season training amid speculation around this future with the club. The 28-year-old was basically due to return to Hotspur on Monday following a short holiday .
There had been some reports in May that Kane told Spurs leadership that he wanted to leave this summer. This comes after Man City, Manchester United and Chelsea indicated interest in the player.
Kane is reportedly valued presently at upwards of £120m and Tottenham club management are doing everything they can do to keep the start despite the striker admitting he has an agreement with Daniel Levy. Daniel Levy, who just appointed Juventus’ former football officer Fabio Paratici as the club’s new managing director of football, said in June that he understands Harry Kane’s frustrations over his lack of cups at the club. However, he suggested that a deal might be quite difficult to offer to him.
Meanwhile, Man City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak, said after last season’s Champions League final that the club will upgrade the quality of its players in order to make the team more competitive and in better position to win more silverwares especially the champions league cup. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that Mancity is showing interest in the player.
