Since the new open compromise between Augustine Ahmedu, prominently known as Blackface, and his previous companion and teammate, Innocent Idibia, also known as 2baba, a few fans have believed that the compromise was too unconstrained to ever be real.
The pair, along with Faze, were individuals from the ancient music bunch, Plantashun Boiz, before they headed out in a different direction. Their quarrel started when Blackface blamed 2baba for purportedly utilizing the super hit tune, ‘African Queen’, without giving him due credit.
Throughout the long term, the previous companions essentially became adversaries as Blackface never botched any chance to lambast Idibia. Be that as it may, at a recognition meeting coordinated in memory of late artist, Sound Sultan, the three artists were asked to let bygones be bygones and resume their fellowship.
In a meeting with Saturday Beats, Blackface kept up with that he wasn’t boxed to a corner and the compromise was certified. He said, “I did not feel boxed into a corner by any means. It was a spontaneous reaction and we all know that holding grudges does not help anyone because life is too short. I am at peace with myself and I want him (2baba) to be at peace with himself too.”
Remarking on the chance of a future cooperation among him and 2baba, the artist said, “Only time will reveal what will happen in the future.”
Talking on his present tasks, Blackface said, “I released a 24-track album titled ‘Rising Sun’ on December 6, 2020. Now, I am working on the follow up called ‘Rising Sun2’ which has 24 tracks as well, and it will be released soon. I hope to tour the country as well.”
